A Legacy of Quality and Collaboration
Since 2006, Prairie Pride has been a symbol of quality in the poultry industry. Our partnership with local farmers and global reach is a testament to our commitment to excellence.
Innovative Practices, Local Sources
Our hatchery in Grandora, Saskatchewan, represents the pinnacle of modern poultry technology. Established in 2005, this 40,000 square foot facility boasts the latest “single-stage” incubation technology and custom automation, producing over 300,000 chicks weekly with the potential to double this output. By collaborating with local producers, we ensure every chicken raised for Prairie Pride meets the highest standards of quality and freshness.
Saskatchewan’s Pride, The World’s Choice
We take pride in our Saskatchewan roots, sourcing predominantly from local farms. This local focus, combined with our global presence, underscores our commitment to delivering world-class poultry products both locally and internationally.
While deeply rooted in Saskatchewan, our reach is global. We proudly export our products to over 20 countries, including the US, The Philippines, and Hong Kong. Our commitment to quality has garnered strong international demand for our poultry meat.
Upholding Food Safety and Animal Welfare Standards
The SQF (Safe Quality Food) accreditation, a globally recognized certification, is instrumental in upholding both food safety and animal welfare standards within the food industry. This dual certification ensures that food producers and suppliers adhere to stringent international requirements, providing a comprehensive framework for demonstrating their commitment to producing safe, high-quality food while also prioritizing ethical and responsible animal welfare practices. The SQF certification’s encompassment of both safety and welfare aspects not only enhances the credibility and marketability of food products but also aligns with the increasing consumer demand for ethically produced food. This makes the SQF certification a valuable asset for businesses in the food supply chain, affirming their dedication to excellence in both food safety and animal welfare.
